Orthopedic Acupuncture * Internal Medicine

Acupuncture appointments include a comprehensive health history with an acupuncture treatment and additional therapies as needed: Chinese herbal medicine, cupping, moxibustion, auriculotherapy, and nutritional advice.

Acupuncture appointments include herbal medicine consultations. Formulas are made with natural, high quality granules and can be customized for your condition.

Orthopedic Acupuncture

Acupuncture appointments for pain and injuries may include orthopedic acupuncture, a specialized form of treatment using western orthopedics, anatomy and sports medicine therapies to treat acute and chronic pain. Treatments may include motor points, trigger points or dry needling techniques to facilitate healing and reduce pain.

Cupping is an adjunct therapy used to help alleviate acute and chronic pain, symptoms of respiratory diseases, and other ailments using suction from cups to help loosen muscle fascia, promote circulation, and reduce muscular tension.

Acupuncture appointments may include moxibustion or moxa, an adjunct therapy using the dried leaves of Chinese mugwort (Artemesia argyi or A. vlugaris). Moxa is warmed and placed on acupuncture points to alleviate pain, promote circulation, and stimulate the immune system.

Acupuncture appointments include auriculotherapy. In traditional Chinese medicine the ear is a microsystem representing the entire body. Needles are placed on specific points in the ear to alleviate acute and chronic pain, stress, mental health issues, addiction, and internal health.

Acupuncture appointments include lifestyle and nutritional counseling from a traditional Chinese medicine perspective using the theories of the five elements, yin and yang, and the latest research on diet and exercise to help you stay your healthiest.

Facial rejuvenation acupuncture increases circulation and collagen production to help plump up skin and give it a healthy glow. Treatments are customized to target problem areas like puffiness, acne, hyperpigmentation, broken capillaries and other skin conditions.

Children can receive acupuncture treatments using a Japanese technique called Shonishin in which small tools are used instead of needles to stimulated points. Treatments promote circulation, boost immune function, and help relax the central nervous system.
